Domaine Arlaud, since 1942
Domaine Arlaud was founded in 1942 following the union of a Burgundian, Renée Amiot, and Joseph Arlaud from Ardèche. Their wedding gift included beautiful vineyard parcels, which Joseph expanded from 1949 onward. In 1966, they acquired a historic 14th-century cellar in Nuits-Saint-Georges for wine aging. This cellar has appeared on every bottle label ever since.
Hervé Arlaud succeeded his father in 1983 and continued expanding the vineyard. His children progressively joined him, and together they worked side by side from 2004 to 2012.
In 2013, Cyprien took sole responsibility for the family estate, bringing together 19 appellations across 17 hectares, including four Grand Crus: Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint-Denis, Charmes-Chambertin, and Bonnes Mares.
Family tradition and innovation
The historic cellar remains a unique and authentic place. It embodies three generations of Burgundian hospitality and now houses a collection of older vintages. The estate, along with its more recent winery and aging cellars, is located in Morey-Saint-Denis.
