History and terroir Combotte is the diminutive for comb. The name references the undulation of the land. The soil is red (due to iron-oxide) The bed rock is only few centimetres from the surface sometime the rock even laid flush. The Premier Cru Aux Combottes is surrounded by grand cru, Latriciere-Chambertin North Clos de la Roche South, Charmes-Chambertin East.

Style The wine is classy suave and energetic. The little red fruit aromas raspberry, gooseberries complete this wine made with the oldest vine of the estate.
